Grand Master Hwang conducted a seminar in New York on March 30, 2008.

(Submitted by Master Vitale)  On Sunday March 30, 2008, GM Hwang Kwang Sung, K-9-1, the President of the UITF held a seminar in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan in NYC. In addition to students from the tri-state NY metropolitan area, the seminar was attended by students from as far away as Michigan & Puerto Rico. The students, both adults & children, included beginners levels all the way up to BB master level. This group also reflected many of the ITF groups that UITF looks to work with in the spirit of mutual cooperation.

Those in attendance were exposed to one of the few students of Taekwon-Do to be promoted to the highest level by the founder himself, the late General Choi Hong Hi. Grandmaster Hwang Kwang Sung, IX Dan BB led the training that he catered to the individuals in the class. Topics included were the history & philosophy of TKD, along with the 5 physical components of TKD. Time & attention was given to each, according to their needs & level. An added treat was GM Hwang discussing his time spent in Vietnam while a commissioned officer in the Korean Army during the Vietnam war. This was of special interest for members of the Luong family from Brooklyn, who lived in Vietnam.

GM Hwang, who visits the NYC area is scheduled to teach another seminar on Sunday May 25, 2008 in the Bronx, NY. For further information please contact:
